FMC closed due to American governmental shut down
The American FMC, Federal Maritime Commission has reported to be closed due to the governmental shutdown caused by a non-agreement of the financial budget as a result of the disagreement between US Congress members and the American President Donald Trump.
The FMC can only restart to normal operations when the legislation is enacted and the governmental services will reopen. The Federal Maritime Commission has stated that all commission employees are being placed on furlough and prohibited by law from performing any duties during the shutdown.
Furthermore the commission’s online databases — SERVCON, NVOCC and OCC Tariff Listings, Listings of FMC Licensed and Bonded OTI’s and the Agreement Notices and Library will not be accessible for public
