CMA CGM state they could isolate malware rapidly
French liner major CMA CGM said that all communications to and from the group were secure following the cyber attack the firm suffered on Monday.
These include emails, transmitted files, and electronic data interfaces.
“Maritime and port operations are functioning as per usual. The booking functionalities remain up and running,” the company added.
Following the attack, CMA CGM interrupted all internal access to its network and computer application in order to isolate the malware and take protective measures.
CMA CGM e-business side already up and running again
The company said it was able to isolate the malware rapidly.
“Alternative solutions to the e-business site are available in order to support business continuity for CMA CGM Group’s customers. All of the group’s teams remain fully mobilized and we will keep you updated on the current situation,” CMA CGM said in an update.
As Offshore Energy-Green Marine reported, several websites of the French liner major were down due to reported IT issues. The company shared on its Twitter account that external access to its IT applications and booking systems were unavailable.
These included the business sites for CMA CGM, APL, ANL and CNC.
