The CTAO (Container Trucking Association of Ontario) planned truck strike continues today. The truckers have been striking since Tuesday September 8, 2015 at several container terminals.

Today’s status continues to be that no truckers are able to enter the port to retrieve containers at CP or CN and most carriers are not working today due to safety issues.

Yesterday’s meeting resulted in CTAO rejecting the offer that was presented.

Today they are meeting again and a new offer is to be presented to CTAO. There are no details available at this time as to how this is progressing.

Due to this strike, SCACLI cannot guarantee on time container pick ups or deliveries and cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damages or additional costs incurred as a result of this strike.

SCACLI will try its very best to assist everyone during this period as the top priority is to continue to provide its clients with the outstanding service they are used to.

A further update will be provided once available.
