CGM CMA combines 38 services and 3.8 million teu capacity

The executives of the CMA CGM Group, Cosco Shipping, Evergreen and OOCL have agreed on the launch of the Ocean Alliance Day 4 product. It will be launched in April 2020. Through Ocean Alliance, the carriers will offer shippers 38 services with a capacity of 3.8 million teu assembled by 325 container ships.

Amongst others, 19 services will run on transpacific routes; Asia and Europe will be linked by seven services, Asia and the Mediterranean by four services, and two transatlantic services will be connecting Northern Europe to the East Coast of the United States and the Gulf of Mexico.

Furthermore, Ocean Alliance claims to be the only alliance offering four services between Asia and the Middle East and two Asia-Red Sea services.

Rodolphe Saadé, chairman and CEO of the CMA CGM Group, said: “One year after the extension of Ocean Alliance until 2027, the launch of the Day 4 product will enable us to further strengthen the competitiveness and quality of CMA CGM’s offer.”
